Thanks to the generosity and support of the Lancaster County School District employees and local businesses, Lancaster County Partners for Youth has awarded over $140,000 for classroom grants since 2006! Some of the awards have been for such projects as the following:

  • Donna Roberts for the Educational TV Broadcasting Project for Enabling Whole School Viewing of Programming technology project at McDonald Green Elementary.
  • Nicole Gardner for the Implementing The Daily 5 literacy program at Kershaw Elementary.
  • Deborah Cole for the In the Nook of Time literacy program at North Elementary.
  • Tara Broome for the Learning Through Listening literacy program at Erwin Elementary.
  • Matthew Willis for the 100 Days to Better Sight Reading program at Indian Land High/Middle School.
  • Mary Waldrop for the Reading Can Take You Everywhere! literacy program at McDonald Green Elementary.
  • Denise Trufan for the RED-Really Easy Data Collection Science program at Indian Land Elementary.
  • Laura Grimm for The Jumbie Bites Buford Music program at Buford Elementary.
  • Amanda Williams for the Wired Up About Reading literacy program at Erwin Elementary.
  • Keith Sellers for the World Drumming music program at McDonald Green Elementary.
  • Marnie Dunn for the Assistive Technology Project at Southside Early Childhood Center.
  • Susan Garner for the Born to Create at McDonald Green Elementary.
  • Brandy Bradley for Help Us Leap into Reading at Indian Land Elementary.
  • Derrelle Ballard for Tag, You’re It! at Erwin Elementary.
  • Stacey Kirkley for Stability Balls at McDonald Green.

Grant Awards

Thanks to the generosity and support of the Lancaster County School District employees, Lancaster County Partners for Youth has awarded over $150,000 in Teacher Mini Grants since 2006.

PFY awards individual grants and group grants in the range of $500 to $2,500.
