A nonprofit 501c3 organization, Big Thursday hosts an annual event that raises funds to send Lancaster County students to University of South Carolina Lancaster or to Clemson University. Held every year on the third Thursday of November prior to the annual University of South Carolina v. Clemson University football game, Big Thursday includes a golf tournament, live and silent auctions, dinner, and many more events that focus on raising funds for scholarships. This year’s Big Thursday will be November 14, 2024.
Since 2000, Big Thursday of Lancaster has raised $726,000 for Lancaster County students to attend USC Lancaster and Clemson University
Since 2000, Big Thursday of Lancaster has raised $726,000 for Lancaster County students to attend USC Lancaster and Clemson University or $363,000 to USCL and Lancaster County Clemson Club each for scholarships. Partners for Youth administers the Lancaster County Clemson Club scholarships that are funded from this fundraiser.
